I have been on IWSTI a long time, but after attending subiefest 2016,
figured I should post up my journal here as well. Montreal/Quebec just has
so many awesome Subarus, and such a passionate modding community,
despite our beloved SQ lol.

I have had this car over 4 years now, stock for awhile, stage 2 for awhile,
stage 3 for awhile, and fully built/major mods since spring 2016.
All the work on my car has been done by Lachute Performance.
Julien is a class act, and they are the best shop around.
Nobody else touches my car. Once let a dealership have at it.
Big mistake lol. (at least on heavily modded subarus)

Has taken a lot of time, effort, and $$ to get my car to where it is today,

and it was very refreshing to see, at subiefest this year, and on this forum, so many others

who clearly feel the same, and some even more ocd than me about their whip.


I woudn't say my car is murdered out, but damn near close to it.

Was going for the black with red accents theme.

Painted my calipers red this spring, for example, in keeping with the red/black theme.

Really made the calipers pop:




The wingless factor helps keeps it sleek and under the radar, but

not under the radar enough... the cops still tend to look in my direction.

I have found that the younger cops pull me over, compliment my car,

and let me go without any harassment. The older cops however, are all the

sudden experts on exhaust, and are ticket happy, ticketing me for having a straight pipe lol.

(very frustrating since my exhaust is not straight pipe, and has a muffler, resonator and cat).

A quick update:

ordered me some killerb rad and alt covers.

I currently have a grimmspeed ones, but with a complete lack of

grimmspeed parts, it just didn't feel right. Am I nuts? probably...




I also finally received a custom aluminum badge i ordered awhile back.

My goal was to use the custom EFR badge, along with the (spec.) portion

of oem subaru badge (from the legacy spec B badge), to have something unique

on my trunk. Will say (spec. EFR). Gonna paint it obp to match; very subtle.




Also had a chance to test out an aerosol wax that came highly recommended to me:



Was very easy to work with and produced some great results:




I am also in the process of hunting down some black window trim pieces to replace

the chrome ones that came with the 2012. I am sick of the vinyl black out strips, they

eventually always peel up at the edges. Sadly the part number for the weather strips is

the same from the 2011 to 2014 sedan models, when i was under the impression the 2011

GR sedan had blacked out oem strips.

More research is required...
