Mart Door lock switches Mod

Here is my small contribution to the subaru world.

Thanx: I would like to say thanks to greg@iwsti.com

Disclaimer: Use at your OWN risk. I cannot be held responsible in any way.

Model: 2006 Impreza
Objective: Disable door lock switches when door are closed and key is not in the ignition. Enable door lock switches when key is in ignition.

Tools needed:

- BEER
- Random Wiring
- Soldering stuff
- 1x Standard Bosch automotive Relay found at any scrapyard

Image
- More BEER!

1.- Remove under dash panel and metal bracket (see here: http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showth ... highlight=)

2.- Cut the yellow/red wire on PIN 11 of the gray 20 pin connector (on the integrated module). One end of the wire goes to 85 and the other end goes to 30.

Image

3.- Connect 86 to the key-sense wire which is white/red and only shows +12V when the key is in the ignition. Connect 87 to ground.

4.- Test, solder mount back underdash panel and done!

In summary, the coil of the relay is activated by the keysense wire. The relay switch is double pole, single throw. The yellow/red wire now runs through the 85 side which is closed when the coil is activated.

no i didnt, it's pretty obvious. just saying it can play against you if you lock your keys in the car and you dont have a spare on you. CAA uses the same technique as thieves

As I can understand of the mod, it's to disable locking your keys in the car (you cannot look the door with the switch on doors). So, if you're locking your doors, you did it with the keys or with the remote (and the keys are in your hands!)

Non. La switch des doors lock ne marchent pas si la cle n'est pas dans l'ignition. Ca serais-tu pour le vol par hasard...
