Those protective films get yellowish after a while and they still get damaged by the road crap the front wheels shoot on the sides. Get some wide mudflaps, this would def help your case!
Still go at the dealer and ask them what were the actions taken by subaru to solve this major issue. I dont know if dahu already started the production of 08+ STIs mudflaps. Ask him!
Also, never mind buying your grill at the dealer, order it from the states and have it sent to freeport forwarding! You'll save yourself a considerable amount of cash!

COOL Thanks! I'm going to order it today! Thanks for the info and the link.kamuro a écrit :You can get the sport grill straight at the dealership.
They sell it like 300$ but you can get it half price if you can talk to the right people.
Otherwise : www.subarugenuineparts.com
Who would the right people be?... Also what about the bottom lip? would you know where I can get that?
I purchased the film for the hood when I signed for the car.The rep told me that it would not turn yellow and that it was guaranteed against yellowing and peeling etc. Anyway I still prefer that over the chips..kirch a écrit :Those protective films get yellowish after a while and they still get damaged by the road crap the front wheels shoot on the sides. Not a big fan of buying from the states. I prefer to pay a bit more and not have the hassles of shipping it back or dealing with emails back and forth if it comes defective or what not...(bad experience)

www.subarugenuineparts.com is the answer if you're not in a hurry. Shipping takes around 5-6 business day. Order 3-4 times from there, never had an issue.

Damb! I thought it might have been some MSC secret word or handshake or something.kamuro a écrit :I talked to the sales director to get that good price on the front grill.
I had a discussion with him already when i was buying the car so he remembered me well.

Thanks for the link. I had already seen it there but didn't pay any attention to it because they used a pic from a WRX. Anyhow, Ill be buying it from there.kirch a écrit :LIP : https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/prod ... ts_id=1471

I installed a 2 way adjustable short T shifter from Cobb. With duty, mail etc... it costs as much as the Subaru one. There is a dealer installed short shift kit that I was thinking of upgrading to and I was wondering what you guys thought of it. Is it worth it?, how good is it?. What are your thoughts.
Now, they say the Subaru one shorten the throw by about 15%. Thats not much but still is about the same as I got wiht the Cobb. To get shorter with the Cobb, I would have to cut/modify some part at the base of the shifter. I'm talking about a car's part.
My advice: Get the Sub ST wich comes fully guaranteed job and part. If you want a shorter throw, avoid Cobb. Kartboy might be a good choice?
(Please allow me to insist: Put the mud flaps before you get the car out of the show room.)
